Today let’s take a deep dive into the world of rainbow songs.

I’ve compiled a playlist with 21 songs, one or the other way related to rainbows.

A colorful tapestry of sounds has emerged, spanning almost 80 years, from 1939 through 2018.

Some heavy hitters on board. Two classics from the golden era of swing music. The Glenn Miller Orchestra’s #1 smash „Over the Rainbow“ and Judy Garland’s magical rendition of the same song from The Wizard of Oz, which won the 1939 Academy Award for Best Original Song.

Music by Kacey Musgraves, The Rolling Stones, Brian May, Nancy Wilson, to name but a few.

Please enjoy.

Somewhere Over The Rainbow - Track Listing

A wonderful live performance of „Rainbow“ by Kacey Musgraves in the BBC Radio 2 Piano Room. The song was Kacey’s fifth and final single from her 2018 album Golden Hour.

Ever asked yourself, “How do rainbows work?”. This PBS video offers some interesting insights.
