This post and it’s playlist is all about the wind in pop music. I’ve put together a selection of songs facing the wind. A blend of rock, pop, folk & synth-pop vibes and more. Spanning four decades; from the ‘60s to the ’90s. Music by Bob Seger, Vanessa Williams, Patrick Swayze, Peter, Paul and Mary, to name but a few. Please enjoy.
Probably one of the most epic windy songs in pop music history. “Wind of Change” by the Scorpions, from their eleventh studio album Crazy World (1990). The power rock ballad became a massive international hit, topping the charts in Germany and several other European countries. On the Billboard Hot 100 “Wind of Change” climbed to #4.
