I’ve compiled a playlist with 60 minutes of sweet ear candy showcasing a stellar line-up of stars like Gladys Knight & The Pips, the Four Tops, Diana Ross, and The Stylistics, to name but a few.

“The Chi-Lites” released “Oh Girl” (their second-biggest hit) in April of ‘72. The song topped Billboard’s Hot 100 and R&B charts. Prior to that (in fall of ‘71) “Have You Seen Her” had also reached #1 on Billboard’s R&B chart (while peaking at #3 on the Hot 100 chart). This song is considered as their biggest hit.
Early 1970s R&B Flavors
The Temptations performing their smash hit “Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me)” on the legendary Ed Sullivan Show on January 31, 1971. The song went to #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and R&B charts in spring of ‘71.
